Stacey Dakin

Chief Program Officer

Stacey Dakin is the Chief Program Officer at Trans Canada Trail. With more than 20 years of experience in social change, entrepreneurship and workforce development, she leads initiatives that strengthen Canada’s national trail system. Since joining the organization in 2024, Stacey has helped shape and launch the Centre for Trail Excellence with a vision of creating a supportive foundation for the broader trail sector. Her career includes senior leadership roles at CEDEC, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada, Mentor Canada and the Canadian Red Cross. 

Stacey is also past-President of Lean In Canada and is the Founder and Principal of Changest, a consultancy supporting organizations, infrastructures and teams that enable the visions of change-makers. She holds a degree in human relations and a master’s degree in human systems intervention from Concordia University, and is a Certified Change Management Professional. Stacey has a deep personal connection to the Trail and enjoys exploring it year-round with friends, family, and her dogs.
